SUSHI – Standardized Usage Statistics Harvesting Initiative
“The Standardized Usage Statistics Harvesting Initiative (SUSHI) Protocol standard (ANSI/NISO Z39.93) defines an automated request and response model for the harvesting of electronic resource usage data utilizing a Web services framework.” - NISO
Scholarly iQ is a participating member of the SUSHI developers group and is fully compliant with the SUSHI standards.
SUSHI allows librarians the ease of automated accumulation of their COUNTER usage reports from dissimilar publisher platforms. No longer will librarians and staff have to manually download COUNTER reports from Publishers’ usage reporting interfaces. An automated interface or ERM system can now be used to handle the collection, aggregation and reporting of COUNTER reports.
Scholarly iQ provides fully compliant reports that will allow for automated download by any system using the SUSHI standards. We also offer consultation for those looking to adopt SUSHI.
